Dr. Steve Lamberg has been practicing all phases of general dentistry in Northport, New York, for over 45 years with a focus on comprehensive restorative dentistry that is sensitive to airway issues.
He served as president of the NY chapter of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and after becoming “airway aware” in 2004 and became a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine
in 2011 and served on their board review faculty. He also completed curriculums with Dawson and Misch and Kois.
He invented the Lamberg SleepWell Appliance “LSW” for SRBD and holds related patents. He contributes articles to peer-reviewed journals, and lectures internationally to help dentists integrate dental
sleep medicine into their general dental practices. Dr. Lamberg launched, and serves as the director of, the Pediatric and Adult Airway Network of New York (PAANNY) which provides a
transdisciplinary platform for dentists, physicians, orofacial myologists, and other related professionals learn from each other.
Dr. Lamberg is a Scientific Advisor and teaches at the Kois Center in Seattle. He also teaches a mini residency for Nierman Practice Management in Florida and a continuum for Aurum Lab in Calgary and
Toronto. Dr. Lamberg also has multiday workshops planned for Krakow and London and Tel Aviv in 2026 to teach implementation of the “Lamberg Protocol”.
Dr. Lamberg created a medical screening questionnaire, the Lamberg Questionnaire. His supporting book, Treat the Cause, Treat the Airway” correlates common medical conditions to airway and sleep.
He believes processing data using AI will take us to the next generation of diagnosis and treatment of SRBD and is currently on the board of VizBriz to pursue this goal.
